what a sight.
the aussies are back in the game! and so what if they lost to brazil yesterday. they played amazingly. and that's more than i can say about brazil's performance. now, now, you brazilians or brazilian fans. calm down...i got luv for everyone. besides, i'm wearing havaianas.
but still. watch out world! schwarzer's on the loose. and he would be my favorite goalie, the aussie at the net, holding it down for the team. talking about goalies. did u guys watch the game last sunday between mexico and iran? yea, me neither. but my brother told me about it.
here's the story. mexico's goalie, sanchez, lost his father. they were so close, the father would go with the team wherever they traveled. then just days before their big game in the world cup, sanchez' father passes away.
now the beautiful part. when the teams got on the field, and the goalies were walking up to meet before playing, iran's goalie, mirzapour, pulled out a bouqet of flowers and gave them to sanchez.
mexico won the game. as for sanchez, it must've been bittersweet. they'd won. but his father...
mind you, these are teams we categorize all too easily. mexico with illegal immigrants. iran with nuclear weapons. and so the stigma builds. but then. we turn on abc or espn, whatever, and witness a gesture like this.

Finally!
So I figured out how everyone's been able to put up videos and whatnot on their xanga.
